Beginner Question

Hey I'm new in this forum and what brought me here was the fact that I want to do produce some hip-hop beats. I heard the MPC is the best thing. I have no experience and no clue but I'm motivated and a fast learner. Anybody could give me some advices ...anyhting helps...Right now I'm green.

for me and I think most of the people here the mpc is the tool for production...

besides the MPC what else do you use?
