just kidding, i want to make beats and burn them to a Cd and sell to aspiring emcees in my area. what is the best way to get my beat off of mpc and onto a disc?

Record your Beats/ single tracks (basedrum/ snare/ hook etc.) from your MPC to a Multitracksoftware like Logic/ Protools, mix them and bounce them to a stereofile.
Then burn to CD....

Or record the stereo-output of your mpc to soundforge/ Wavelab, create a stereofile and burn....

well i was going to congrat you on getting signed and warn you of dodgy contracts (well, they ALL are, its just up to you to get it on good terms)

these days i license tracks and wont be signing anything else for a long time. royalties arent huge for me though, but thats no concern really, live gigs are where the moneys at in this country.

Wavelab, Soundforge..are these websites or software? Please let me know.....when I do the hook up and spin my data wheel..will the function on my MPC say "soundforge" or "computer" ? gimme some details

You have to connect your out lines on the back of your MPC to the sound card on your computer. I run my outs through a mixer then to the computer

Wavelab and sound forge are wave editing programs to load on your computer. You will need a wave editor and a multitracker. MPC Editor is a beautiful thing to have also. Do a google search for wavelab, sound forge, and Adobe Audition, you will find them easily. Max RAM, SCSI or internal ZIP, SCSI CDROM would also help out as well.

32mb RAM, that part is in the manual. 60nanoseconds or faster. That's the max.
