MPC 2000 EB 16 EFFECTS QUESTION??

Does the EB 16 Effects card give the MPC 2000 a EQ?? Thanks.

is eb16 even worth it? or can i buy an external peice of equipment to make up for the eb16 effects?

depends the effects aint to bad, i'd rock the 8 outs and a ensoniq dp/4+

Many outboard effects modules can outdo the little EB16 but it's a good card don't get me wrong. If you want all you stuff right there internally then it's the EB16 of course. If you love to have outboard gear and/or hands on knob control or something get and external effects module.

Maybe, but it would take at least 4 outboard modules plus the 8-out to equal the power of the 4 bus EB. Not to mention the additonal cables, mixer channels and power supplies to mess with. One EB-16 at $330 or three times that in outboard gear.

I thought it was a filter, I'll have to look again. You right about the number of busses and all the extra cords. It is an underated card though, I'm glad I put out the dough for mine.

I believe Akai uses the term `filter` in the MPC, but it has EQ controls. Regardless an EQ is a filter of sorts.

I understand, I was going by what I read which was filter, I've been inside the EB16 screens and have seen the freq switches and everything. I always asked myself could it be called an EQ but I guess it can be called an EQ persay. I understand now. I actually use the q function in there alot.
