seems like a waste of money for the mpc... if your using cubase as the sequencer

i disagree. what price can you put on ANY tool that gives you ANY kind of unique creative inspiration?

its up to the user.

i wish i was more strict on recording.
i don't even always have different tracks for kicks, snares, and hi hats and so on.
i lways start with drums for some reason because that gives me some kind of vibe for the track and melody. and then i go from there.
i kinda do things on the fly.
it is not the best way to do things but i enjoy it.

Blaz4me wrote:I use my soundforge for fine tuning sample parts with compression, reverb limiting and etc; Anyway, I just wanted to ask since you said that you import your sequences into reason for effects why not just do it from Soundforge. Aren't your plug ins available to you under your Soundforge's Dx favorites menu? That's how I use my Rennisance waves effects.

I'm almost like you BLAZ4ME, I make maybe 20-22 sequences in one song, that includes breaks, chorus, main, fills and everything. Hook it all up in song mode. I could do changes up in Vegas (my multitracker like ELMACACO does) but I do all my change ups in sequences on the MPC.

I process all of my samples in Sound Forge (ie.. cut and chop), like MPC3000 once stated I do realtime effects in my mutlitracker (VEGAS is the shiznit and is often misunderstood because of the VIDEO in it's name), ie, reverb, compression, normalize and all my plugins so that I can turn them off at any time cause I do plugin work in Sound Forge it's permanent to my wav, whereas realtime effects are editable and nondestructive to my wav's ya dig (the faster the CPU and Frontside bus, the more RAM and the faster the RPM is on your hard drive the more realtime processing you can do. Vegas I think holds like 32 realtime fx on each track and 32 on each bus (unlimited busses/tracks depends on hardware). I use alot of Ultrafunk, Hyperprism and Waves on my tracks and busses. But back to square one, all the sequences, breakdowns and mutes come from the MPC.
Depending on how I feel that day I might use soley the EB16 for effects but like I said those FX are permanent once recorded into PC.
