hey everybody
I'm a totally newbie in the sampling world, but I've played the drums for quite some years and have got interested in implying samples to my set-up.
It very difficult to find information about hot's and not's about each machine, but I think need something like the mpc2000 or the xl version(maybe it's the best for me to start out with the mpc1000 but it seems like a toy compared to the describtions I got on the two other.

Can anybody help me/guide me a little bit in what would be wize to put my hard earned money;)

I would go with the XL if it's your first MPC cause it's easy and the learning curve is not nearly as steep as say a 4k. yeah, and what Mr. MSGR said will also help you in figuring out what you wanna do.
