internal IDE zip drive

hi
Anybody know where i can get a zip drive to replace the mpc2000xl floppy drive in the UK apart from on e bay? ive been looking online and could only find them at stupid prices in the uk.

please help me

if you or any friends are at university ask around. i was surprised how many fellow ex-uni students had zip drives and disks lying around unused.

here in australia ALL students were urged to buy zip drives and discs cause university computers had zip drives etc.

most people never use them again!


im a bit lucky to have friends in the wholesale computer industry so im not too stung by prices, except for usb zip drives which is unnavoidable. keeping an eye out for studio bulk sales (ie studios sell off crap when they upgrade or renovate) is good too.

thanks......i had a look at that website and they only had 250mb internal zip drives. it says on the tutor it is safer to get a 100mb drive. do you recommend i should get it? it was only £50

but I will say that some have had problems with 250 while others haven't. You will find less problems found with 100 than 250, I have 100 and it is more than enough for what I need to do. When you build on bigger partitions more problems are likely (prone) to occur anyway.

Get the 250mb internal IDE and a warranty. If it doesn't work correctly then you can take it back.

if u need to do it do it, but if not i wouldnt cause ive had a barrage of problems with the internal zip drive dilly, go with the SCSI
