hey ,
I have been trying to make my **** zip drives work for about 1 hour and I dont understand whats the problem , when i open my zip disk in my computer it's all good ; i can transfer files on it etc... but when I try to load the disk on my mpc 2k I always get the message : " SCSI Not ready ! " and my zip disk does a little sound . Can anyone help me ? Is this a problem with my zip drive , disks or mpc ?

( I have two purple/blue Iomega Zip Drive 100 )

Help me please

Maybe you need a thicker scsi cord. I had the same problem.

Make sure the i.d. is on and you terminate it also.If you look on the back of the zip you'll see these switches if not you might have a parallel drive, which does happen.Check your cord also.

Wrong/faulty scsi cable or faulty zip drive (connect to another mpc to check if it works there) or blown scsi fuse (try another drive and see if that works).

Also make sure to first power up the zip drive and then the MPC, that way the MPC can 'detedt' the drive properly.

yo...
make sure that your zip is switched to 5...
then put your mp on external zip......put that on five.....
make sure your cords are for scsi....
or just give me a call and I'll run you through..
