S950 Power Cable

i live in the uk. a friend has just bought an s950 that has a power input like the one show above a two pin socket type thing. mine has a standard 3 pin lead like the ones used on computers, mpc etc... can he just take off the current socket and install one of these three pin sockets? what about earthing the sampler? he cant find a lead to fit the back of the s950.

Hosa makes those cables, roland used them a lot. If you replace the connector with a standard IEC commputer connector, just connect the two main pins and leave the earth pin unconnected.
