Here's BLANK-MELODIC.PGM, which is like an ordinary Program, but with all notes set to Note On mode. This will make it quicker to build up melodic sample sets without the need to make this change for every Pad. It also has the MIDI note mappings in ascending order, from A01=35 to D16=98, making it simpler (though still not easy) to play melodies using the pads alone.

takenfrom http://stereoroid.com/sounds/mpc1000/index.php at the bottom how exactly do i use the melodic program?? how should i load the sounds in or up??? where do i put the samples. its kinda confusing.. i says i can play melodies using the pads but how do i tune the sounds and whatnot??

Nah all it is (and it's very useful) is a pgm for playing over midi. For some reason if you wire up a synth and trigger it with your mpc, the pads don't play the notes sequentially (chromatic) they just play random.

With this pgm, every next pad is a semitone up.

Hope thats clear.
