Is there any software sequencers out there that have the ability to assign a key and use it as note repeat within the sequencer? Thanks in advance.

I looked pretty hard for that feature in a soft - sequencer before buying the 4k...I had hoped to get by with just the pads but I use note - repeat alot...not just with percussion either...It's a great effect to drop some of the percussion and use a tone from the chord and repeat that instead... Between that and the swing feature it will be hard to replace the MPC...

I appreciate your help. I looked also but couldnt find a soft sequencer with that or individual track lengths. It would be nice if that had software that was strictly MIDI and had both of those features among other things. Thanks though.

fxpansions guru lets you do that, it's the closest software prog to a mpc
