SND to WAV

Ok, we all know that WAV files get an automatic, annoying little trim of their tale when the 2000xl interprets them. How about when saving SND files as WAVs and opening the WAVs on a PC?

OK, I have SND files in the MPC. I decide I want to save them as WAV's so that my friends PC can recognize them. Will saving the SND's as WAV's get a similar trim or something that will effect the sound?

I guess I'll have to find out myself... You guys kill me. First it takes me asking the same question 5 times because the reading comprehension on this site is at a 1st grade level. Then, the wiseass remarks start.

Unfortunately I have not had the opportunity to see if the saved WAV's are effected the same way loaded WAV's are. And yes, the MPC loads and saves SND files as it's main sound format.

None taken. You are absolutely correct in that statement. I'm trying to make a point though. The answers from half of the people on this board are useless. If the question asked was answered, or at least given an "I'm not sure", that would have been the easiest and quickest and most helpful. Maybe thats too much to ask. Although I thought this site was for questions about the Akai MPC series samplers. I mean there is a specific forum for the 2000 and 2000xl that specifically says it's for technical questions about the said units. Or perhaps my question was one that everyone knows and if I read the manual, I'd find the answer. However, still no answer to my question...

Heres a question for yall.


MPC2000XL. when i load up WAVS from my flash disk then sample gets cut off even though i get rid of the DECAY

once again. ANY IDEA HOW TO FUCIN SOLVE THIS ?

I just copped the S3000XL and i am hoping that it will not be cutting my shit up

and IF the MPC is really cuttin shit up then, why the *** did they add a BPM option for the MPC when the actual length of the WAV and what actually plays is not the SAME

I tried adding 30-40ms of blank space to the end of my samples and it seemed to stop that cutting off problem. I did that in soundforge. You can do it in any wav editor. Failing that sample direct into ya mpc and then trim it.
