I've only trashed vinyl that has no value, monetary or personal.

I trashed some disco record (can't remember the artist) when I was like 10 yrs old, using it as a frisbee. But stopped that immediately cause I almost beheaded, my retired neighbour. That scared the shit out of me (and him as well  )
I never trashed a record again after that.

the Churkendoose, an old 78. I nailed it to the front of my landlords door, telling him "I'm loud", got the apartment right away, he liked my style.(and old 78's w/nail holes)

I got a 12inch promo of Billy Squier's "Big Beat" from when I tagged all over the label when I was a knuckle head teen. I did that alot to my records before I knew the actual value of them. I'm kicking myself in the @ss to this day for some of the other records I tagged on.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

when i got my first pair of decks, about 12 years back. i remember it was a hot summer. i set them up under the skylight in the room is was in at the time. the sun used to come through pretty mean. anyhow, i'd just started buying drum n bass recs at the time (like my first 3). i left two of them on the decks when i went out, came back and one of them had melted, warped to fuk. it was the 1st dillinja release on metalheadz (the orange one). so i went back to the shop and brought it again. that records dope. i made made a clock out of the melted one, which i kept for about 7 years.

i remeber about 2-3 yrs ago i went to go see my friend spin @ the university and when i got there, the sun havent been up all the way once the sun hit 12 it was over , they had one tarp covering the decks and he must of put 2-3 records on and when he took them off the taco'd up i told hhim you gys should have brought a tarp to cover the set up,

i 've said this plenty of times direct sunlight and records DON'T MIX.
i've seen many beginners do this put doors , they go out to do an outdoor gig and don't bring a tarp thats just taco hell waiting to happen,
it's never happen to me but ,i've learn'd from watching others in the last 26 yrs...KEEP YOUR SHIIT OUT THE SUN, IT'S FUCI<'S YOUR RECORDS UP. CAN'T SAY IT ENUFF!!!!!!
