hey all

I can get a good deal on a mpc only thing there is somethin wrong with the main stereo outputs. Would this be an expensive job to get fixed?

If I'm not mistaken the stereo outs are part of the motherboard of the MPC, that could turn out to be an expensive reparation depending on what's wrong (if it's only the jack connectors or if there's other electronics that are damaged))

IMO
It depends on how much you are going to pay for the MPC. You can always get the 8 outs board and put that in. Or maybe the stereo outs just need to be resoldered into place.... simple fix.

The problem with repairing the main outs is getting to them. For either MPC2k (you did not mention which one) the mainboard has to be removed to replace or resolder the connectors (which are only about dollar each).

[For someone to charge $25 to resolder them is a really good deal]

"its gonna cost me around $300-$400"

Sounds a bit steep. I can replace them in about an hour and charge well under $100.
