can anyone tell me why most peeps use pro tools with mpc?
what are the advantages etc and how would i hook it up.

Everyone pretty much uses pro tools because it is the industry standerd....Almost every major recording you here today was most likely recorded using pro tools....Thats pretty much the main advantage!!!!

Like Lajprod said it's pretty much an industry standard but any program that lets you save as a wav. file will work just as well.

Protools is usually used to record beats (each individual track)and mix and master. Its also used to record vocals.

You can sync up PT to ur MPC via MIDI and then record the audio so everything lines up.

Do a search for the details, this has been beatin to death
