So i droped akai an email asking about timestretch on the 1k, i got this reply:
"Timestretch is being worked on for the next operating system."

Let me know if that helps.

wow sounds like they are really going to implement a lot of stuff with this next update. All I really hope they do is implement a better way of shifting the notes. If not like the way it's done on the 2000, etc., at least I hope they do it like on the 2500.

What's the difference between note shift on the 2500 and 1K?

There isn't a note shift on the 1k. People have been using note move to get a similar effect, but it's not the same.

I'll beleive it when I see it...

I hope akai/numark realise if they do implement all this they will seriously go up in our (the potentially lifelong customers) estimation.

this new os is already offering more than i'd ever expect. i'm very impressed. dont get me wrong i'm happy with my mpc the way it is. but adding features like timestrecth, zoning, hard drive's is good fu<kin sh!t.

i dont hardly ever use timestretch, but its still nice to have the option.

I know that but from this thread http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewtopic.php?t=36626 it's implied that it's similar to the implementation in the 1K

On the same menu where they have copy and paste, on the 2500 there is an option to move the note. Also, there is a move option in the seq edit. I might be mistaken since all I did was glance at the 2500 manual, but I'm pretty sure that's how it works.
