i want to edit my samples off my comp and then use them

i want to edit my samples off my comp and then use them on my mpc, but i cant seem to figure out in what type of file they have to bne in for a mpc2000? and what prgram do i use to convert them to that extension?

The MPC2000 can read Akai's SND format and WAV format.

If you use a PC, check out MPC Editor or if you use a Mac check MPCPGMMaker.

ok, i searched for the "mpc editor" and found nothing, but ill keep trying on that one....
but my issue is, i have tried using snd and wav files, and it keeps saying that they wont work on my mpc? and then when i try to save something as a ua file, which is the same format as the drum kit i have that i am learning with, they wont work either? does this make sense to anyone? or maybe im missing a detail somewhere.

Do you own a 2000 or a 2000XL? The 2000 can't read WAV, the 2000xl can.

Everybody desrves to be paid for the job they do. If you job is writing software then it's normal to be paid for that. A carpenter would also get pissed of if he just build you a kitchen and you wouldn't want to pay for it.

Why not just run the outs from your soundcard into the mpc (ins)?

And for MpcEditor i think it was an honest mistake asking for a free version.Maybe he didn't know you had to pay for the software.I'm sure you guys have heard of Freeware.Anyways it's only $30 and you can et it at http://www.midicase.com(if it's still there)

you can also edit on your comp. and make a .wav disc and use a scsi cd-rom. quick easy and simple. Im looking into getting a scsi dvd-rom for more storage of my sampled wav's
