Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I need some help on this guys .I was just in the studio when I recognized that every 8th Time I hit any sound that sound just sounds **** up .If I listen to it just on the Headphones everything sounds ok .So I guess it has something to do with the outputs of the MPC.
Would be really cool if anyone can help me with that problem,or at least can tell me what the problem is all about. Thanx

i have had the same problem some times when i used the 2kxl (os 1.14)
and it was always every 8th hit and it always sounded a bit lowpass filtered

in what way is the sound different?

It sounds exactly like you describe it .Like its a little lowpass filtered.
Could you solve the problem or find out what was the matter .
Thanx for your repply.

Do you think it could be a os Problem or rather hardware?

It sounds (no pun intended) like this is more an os related bug than a hardware bug, especially since there is this pattern of each 8th hit sounding different.

i never found a way to stop it, and it was not much of a problem for me

have you tried a totally new drumkit?
is it the same effect on all pads?
turned it off and load the samples again?

also.... my memory fails me a bit but i think it was on just one pad but im not sure..

It happens every 8th time no matter what pad you touch.

I just downloaded the os update from the Akai Sit .Do you think I should update to that newest OS Version?
Is it worth a try?

has it always been like this? or did it just happen right now?
it was never a big problem for me because it always stopped for some reason... i just kept on working... or i loaded some new samples (don't remember if that helped though)

i dont know if changing OS will help you..
do a search and see if anyone else have had this problem. to me this seems pretty rare because before to day i have'nt seen anyone else who have had this problem... i mean if it was strictly an OS issue, someone else should have the same problem.. but of course i could have missed it..

Its been like that for a while .First thing I noticed was when I recorded some beats from the MPC in Cubase and the Hi hats weren`t straight .Every once in a while one Hi hat hit sounded different.I thought it was a midi timing problem because I use an old Motu Midi interface to sync MPC -Pc.But yesterday I checked out some breakz samples ,loop them playing the break every 2nd Bar in a 4 bar beat.So I kept repeating it for a while to get a feeling of it ,and I noticed that every 8th time it was sounding like there was a lowpass filter on the break.

So know I checked my os (its 1.12)made a copy of it and propably try to change it into os 1,2 hoping its just a OS problem.
I would stay with the 1.12 but i can`t find no copy of it in the net.

Anybody else with some advice?
