making sure everything works on my MPC

just paid for a 2000XL and when it comes in the mail i have to contact the seller immediately if there is a problem. i know that not every button does something in every screen, is there a quick way to cycle through the menus and make sure that every button/pad/knob is working? since im a begginner on hardware im imagining i wouldnt be using every button right away so i just wanna make sure i made a good purchase. any insight?

Just make sure the screen looks clean and line free.No wires are hangin out of course.THe pads/buttons don't stick.And the Note variation slider and data wheel turn/slide easily without sticking.I think you should be cool.I bought my 2k off Ebay and still haven't had any problems to this day.
