As far as the unit itself is concerned, you won't see them in stores until any particular store sells their remaining blue stock. You'll have to ask several retailers before you even see a black unit. I'm almost positive that Akai won't release the black 1k until OS 2.0 is ready, though I'm only speculating out of hypothesis.
