Jahrome paraphrased what Hurricane Producer wrote:
Jahrome..you ain't shiznit. Your MPC 2500 ain't shiznit, your Motif ES ain't shiznit, your Proteus 2000 ain't shiznit..in fact you don't even create ain't shiznit
I guess I am equally making friends and enemies here. But the lord says love them all..so I luv you Hurricane
Ok now...
eBay sales has nothing to do with the popularity/demand for the MPC 2500 that hasn't even hit the US. Yeah..I have called everybody and no one has it yet. As far as eBay, there are not many people that want to purchase items that comes with no warranty..especially if you are paying $2000. eBay is polluted with criminals so it is no surprise that buyers will hesitate purchasing items there (unless the are getting it from that #1 MPC seller or DHLKID, who lives in Hong Kong). Now if you have insight into how many of these units were sold already, I applaud your investigative work. But I can tell you I know first hand that sales are not 'slow;. You really have no idea what you are talking about.
But honestly..who really care if sales are slow. We may talk and joke about different pieces of gear (the MPC 4000 is the anti-Christ)..but it won't stop people from doing what they want with the gear they select (let me blow the dust off of my gear).
Since it seems people are not taking the time to read..I will post again. I have been using the MPC 2500 for several weeks trying to translate a Japanese manual:
注意:各リージョンのスタートポイントは一つ前のリージョ
ンのエンドポイントと共通の値となります。リージョンのス
タートポイントを変更すると、一つ前のリージョンのエンド
ポイントも一緒に変更されます。
Yeah..that's what I thought
Does it matter to you that I have a dining room full of gear that I don't use?? I have done the best I can speaking on the MPC 25000 but I am not getting paid for anything, whether I am correct or incorrect. This is a forum to discuss things. When I am right, I get a thank you (some times). When I am wrong, I get a response from people like you with a smart azz comment (but I ain't mad at cha) while others will point out that I made a mistake and show me the correct way...and I appreciate it.
Thanks for posting the way to erase the flash memory. It would be easier to have a menu that states ERASE FLASH MEMORY..but that will do. I erased the flash memory when I first turned on the unit and turned off the auto load so it is something that I never though twice about. Did yor figure this out by reading the manual or hands on use of the MPC 2500??
Hurricane Producer, thanks again for your useful comments. You can come over my place and play with my toys if that makes you happy. I just returned from Guitar Center where I ordered the Fantom X workstation. I now have the wonderful real-time timestretch that my MPC 2500 is missing
And I am curious..what MPCs or similar products do you use?
