Hello everybody. I'm a new recruit to the world of MPC60 MK1 users. It sounds real nice and i have once owned the SP1200 and various other samplers but i gotta say that i'm totally down with the MPC60 as my preferred sampler. It just sounds right. Deep, warm, dirty and large.
Anyway i'm on the learning curve right now and thankfully a lot of it is common sense however there is one thing that that i have not managed to sort out and because this is probably one of the simplest things to do i feel a bit stupid asking but anyway here goes.

How do you truncate a sample ?

it's the same on both.

It's in sounds 6 in the lower right corner in the scroll menu.

you can use different functions in that sounds>6 screen such as:

del before soft start
" " " end
copy zone to temp
insert temp to zone start
" " " " end
del zone
reverse zone

read elmac's "chopping on the 60" tip in the FAQ thread for more info on truncating samples.
