I think we might be coming at this from different ends. You sound like you are interested in the engineering aspect of music, which is fine.. I think most people in here are musicians/writers and are likely to not be directly involved with post production etc. We need to write music efficiently, keeping a vibe going thus staying creative - this is why we all use the technically very basic MPCs as they are about Vibe and not features. This is also exactly why I now use Live - so much fun!! Its like an MPC on steroids..
But my friend, you cant use language like 'simply minded people' and then expect people to take your comments seriously - if you want your views to be respected, you have to present them in a respectful manner..

Where did you read that I am in the music industry Rob? Not from anything I have every posted. I wrote "been writing music for 20 years" and indeed I will be writing music until I die. I am a musician and I will die a musician. Sure, I would jump at the chance to do this for a living but statistically that is unlikely - London is the second most expensive place to live in the world next to Tokyo, so you have to earn quite a bit just to stand still..

Probably the millions of people that have purchased their albums..
btw - did you post the link to your tracks? If so I missed it so please post again.. Links to our tracks (non-ProTools) are at the bottom of all my posts. They are not that good but I get a load of fun making them and occasionally I get a compliment which makes be buzz for days...
