Internal Zip Disk Problem

Internal Zip Disk Problem

I just got a used MPC. I'm trying to put in a Zip disk , but it wont go in. Are there two different sizes of Zip disks?

100/250 are the same size.

Are you sure you have a zip disk installed in your mpc?
It's not a floppy drive?

Maybe you have the disk turned around and sideways.

yeah I'm positive..

It goes in like 80% of the way. I talked to the guy that sold me it, he told me to send it back and if it can't be fixed,refund it so i can me a new beast!

Sounds bad.

Maybe something stuck in the drive already.

Send it back.

Go buy a new drive and install it yourself. It's not hard.

You know what it WAS??

When an MPC is shipped, it gets bumped around so the ZIp disk goes into Rest mode. you have to push the disk in pretty hard the first time.

it went in, s'alll good !

I have to. I've seen some sad sad stuff before.

(Lampdog working a trouble desk sup position in 1998)
Lady calls up: I have a problem with my cup holder.
Lampdog: Maam, I don't handle cup holder situations, sorry.
Lady: But it's on my computer!
Lampdog: *to himself* WTF?!?
Lampdog: Can u describe ur problem maam?
Lady: It's cracked and won't slide out anymore.


I won't go any further, u can guess what it actually was..

LMAO!! I can't beleive she was using her cd rom as a cup holder.
