Bangin Beats!?!?

I need some serious help. I used to have an MPC 2000 a while ago.. ok i still got it but it mite as well not be there coz its screwed up now. About 2 years ago, i got the bangin beats zip disk set which was about £300 and i loved it. Now i got an MPC 1000. I borrowed a usb zip drive to try n copy the files from zip disk to my hard drive so i could eventually move them to my 1000. The files didnt move. They maybe copywritten, i dont know. I tried to contact Bangin Beats to see if they could help but no reply so far. I know its not really specifically a music related question, but HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

first of all... The files can copy to PC providing these Conditions are correct (also for working on a MPC1000)

The ZIP must be working in the first place, IOMEGA DRIVERS are installed with lastest software etc...

[Get MPC EDITOR PROGRAM as well!! - just incase you need to repair the boot sector, this might revive it!]

1. 8 CHARS only on each file, this means the names of the files can be only 8 letters long anything over will give u duplicate file names when u copy over to PC.

2. You Can ONLY!!! Use .MIDI and .PGM files...and WAV!! So you might have to RESAVE your files...

No .SND, No APS and NO .all (if you read the description for the 1000 you would have noticed that it does not have compatability for these files)

I Hope you took care of them ZIPS man!! cause your fuked other wise!!

lol sup penfold... thanx for that.... you know, im really contemplating selling the 1000 and coping a 2000xl... i wont have to worry bout all this shit then will i lol... the zip disks work perfect, ill look into the rest of it....
on a side note, if i was to sell up the 1000... how much you think I should ask for.... mint, boxed... fully megged (kingston memory) and with a 1GB CF card.

hhhmmm, sell your MPC1000? have you seen the two threads under this one?
you might wanna reconsider...get ya 2000 fixed and keep it!! both of them!! it will be well worth it!!

yeh i can be wrong from time to time, but its cause man is allways learning and trying to raise the bar everytime so I cant afford to be mostimes!!
cause u bre's always gonna need guidence!
