Im kinda new to this but im haveing a problem sampling i got my sample and wanted to cut a part out so i went to trim and then i selected the part i wanted out and then clicked on cut that screned poped up and i clicked do it but the part i wanted to cut out was still there....i also am having a problem when i finish with the sample and go to program to assiagn it to a pad but the sample only plays when the pad is pressed , how do i go about getting it so i can play my sample and then add my other sounds to it? I would have looked all this up in the manual but the only manual i have is the one for the 2000xl and a few things are different on there, anybody know where i can get a 2000 manual....any help will be greatly appreciated.

It seems like you got the chopping part down.

The sample will only play when you hit the pad... of course. What you need to do is use the sequencer to record what pads/samples you hit and when.
So in the main screen, hold record and then hit play to start recording a sequence. Then hit the pads while the mpc is recording. This will record the midi data in the mpc so that the next time you press play, the mpc will play the sounds you recorded. To record a new sound over the top, repeat that process, but hit another pad to trigger the other sound you want to record.

I don't understand how you could not have figured that out yourself. You shouldn't even need the manual for that in my opinion, its self evident.

Give it a go and reply back with any furthur questions once you have tried this yourself, not before.

Cheers
