DangerDoom Album

Has anybody listened to this album?

I got a question: On a few of DangerMouse's beats he's got some mad drumming action going, like 5 or 6 drum hits a bar. I was just wondering if those are actually drum hits or whats the theory behind what he is doing?

Uhh... No. There was just a thread talking about this album and alot of people seemed to know about it. Anyways, I'm kind of wondering how he did those also. He says he uses only acid 4.0. But I thought acid was only a multitracking/editing program.

who knows anyway...**** dangermous sdont even use monitors hahahaha

Maybe he's just slowing him Tempo down to like forty and queing off his hats where his kicks and snares should go.

dangermouse and doom are pretty far from mainstream....if u think thats mainstream what do u call all the garbage on tv and radio?

i think i read somewhere he just uses acid as a sketch pad for beats, not sure tho, he def uses acid

as for the drums im not exactly sure what u talkin bout, but i think your referring to that 32nd note action
just listen to the beat and try to recreate what your hearing if u wanna know that bad

Its like crazy beats because its not just like your basic kick, snare, kick kick snare, its like kick, bunch of little kicks, snare.

I don't really like the beats on this album; maybe I need to listen to it again.

i think u should....mad of them grew on me after listening to it for awhile that i wasnt feeling at first

Yeah but what is he playing the 32nd notes with. I would have expected him to have some type of drum machine. MPC 60, 3000.

ther'e on the cover of this months remix mag,the interview isn't huge but they talk about the complex drum song.

I copped the album, I like it great drums good samples....

I heard the Dangerdoommousedanger whatever album also but I don't like it. I been a deep deep over obsessive hip hop head since Rakim, Slick Rick, De La Soul, Nice & Smooth, Large Professor, Pete Rock, Gangstarr and so on...but I can't really stand these new comers using $800 laptops with $130 software and making music calling their stuff classic and official. Its beacuse the producers like Marly Marl and everyone from my era really focused on the quality of the mixing in the music, messed with a lot of EQ for days just to make a snare, and now these new dudes are bragging about how Fast they made their album and how they didn't even put any effort into it but its gonna do so well. 9th wonder is another one..talking about he knows people that can't hear their basslines..well, I know some laptop producers that can't hear the fact that their kick and snare are literally the same through their whole album!! (little brother) I'm not going for it..we need Primo Back and I'm glad Pete Rock is getting work with Ghostface and Dipset so people know hes very relevant still.

I love Doom.I don't know what it is.Maybe it's the voice,the style or the transformation.DangerDoom is actually a pretty good album in my opinion.Probably one of the better albums i've heard in awhile.Alot better than most of the garbage that's out right now.
