Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

OK, so i've got a cd drive for use with my MPC 2000, i've got some sample cd's that somebody burned for the mpc (i got the cd drive used and it came with a couple of cd's). But is there anyway to burn a cd with .wav files on my computer and have the MPC read it? When I burn a cd with .wav files and try to load it in the CD drive connected to the MPC by scsi it doesnt read the disk, where it says disk type it just displays ? ? ? ? ? ?. Can the MPC not read computer burned disks? or do they need to be saved in a certain format. The CD's that came with the drive are burned so it seems it has to be possible. Someone please advise cause I'd rather not sample them straigtht into the MPC and some of the files are too big to fit on floppy disks.

thanks

You could burn them as audio and sample them from a regular cd player

There is a certain format on those akai cd's that u don't have.

Do a search, the exact info your asking about is on a bunch of past threads.
