extensive research and a little experiement will find you this:

only in PGM format with WAV files.. with NO MORE than 8 chars per file.

Keep to this format and you can load in your 1000, other wise, no joy for u!

Oh well. I know I learned everything I know on my own because I had enough ambition to find out myself. I post sometimes for help but that doesnt mean I'm going to sit here waiting for the help, I'm going to help myself.

just bcuz a question is asked doesn't mean YOU have to answer it, if u think it's stupid then just ignore it and reply to something you think is worthy enuff of your well spent time figuring things out by yourself

unfortunately you may have to do that. i don't know of any batch converters for what you want to accomplish. i'll look around. but in the mean time, try to google it.

" full of beats "

For some help you try to be more descriptive about what you have. Is that APS, SND or even WAV? The MPC2000 can save in WAV format, so for all we know your "beats" are in WAV format for which I would say the same that Penfold stated.

We are good with MPC's, not reading minds (even though we like to think we can, but it always leads to trouble when we read into the question).

IMO: Help, good. Very good. Handholding, not good.
I helped myself when I first started out. I went ahead and did something about my problems.

You should post more with some help you know. 8)

thay are .snd files from the mpc 2000, i loaded them on the 1k via the computers floppy drive, the names are on the 1k including the folder but there is no sound coming out and there's a question mark before each sample and when you click the wheel on the 1k the name disappears, has anyone attempted this before?
