ha ha ha ha ha

pete rock is from money earnin' mount vernon,NY.....not CT

the pic just has a lot of meaning to it......it is legendary pete rock (with the gritty sound still,*ucking with a machine that others have said can not compete with the other machines of the past with "gritt" and as trusty as other machines......which also seems like PR doesn't care as long as he is banging out some heat...which is exactly how i feel about the (2kxl...or any other equipment i am using....i have composed soley(individually) on the 2k...on the motif.....mo phatt...the triton...a casio keyboard, 4k,fruity loops, mc-303..xp-10,50...and others...and on all machines i have proved that it is all me...

first of all..."Oh yeah, I didn't see any mention of an amp in your post or mention of editing software like soundforge, adobe and etc"

what do you mean by amp?, and why would i need editing software?
to edit samples or what?i got cool edit pro for that case.

thanx alot thats all i need to lose faith in the truths,
how much were your monitors, sub and amp all together?

and last whats the difference between passive and powered?(not amped and amped?)

I spent roughly $1,100 however I copped them all from AMS and got it all on a 5 month installment plan. I got to crak it open and have a hay day and to see if I really wanted it before I paid for the whole lot in full! Heres the link. http://www.americanmusicalsupply.com

ok i got the mk6 and event tr8s for now. so in total i am going to need 2 midi cables to connect the keyboard and the mpc together and i will need 4 instrument cables to connect to and from the audio outs and ins to my mixer.then i will need speaker cables to connect to the mixer as well or to the mpc?

so my questions are, how many instrument cables do i need?

and

where do the speaker cables go?into the mixer or the mpc stereo in line?

here is why I made the same mistake b/c you can not use the samples in the Mo phat for any commerical release thats right they dont tell you these samples already been used and assign to artist...
I'm in the market for a drum machine/sequencer. I dodn't necesarily need the sampling features being the my music is instrument based, but I need something to sequence drums. I was considering the EMU PX7 Command Station along with the MPC 1000 and one or two software options(which I want to stay away from).

My question for you is: are you referring to the actual sounds or the arrangements? In other words, if I wrote an original bassline using a voice from the PX7, are you saying I couldn't use it without getting sued?

I've been using the DR770, but with only 2 outs and 1 track in the sequencer, I can't program drums in there and get them to separate tracks in Pro Tools.

Any way, my question for you is: are you referring to the actual sounds or the arrangements? In other words, if I wrote an original bassline using a voice from the PX7, are you saying I couldn't use it without getting sued?
