Question. Should I trade my MPC-1000 for a MC-909?

MPC 1000

Does the 1000 have a chop shop function? SOrta the way recycle does the edits to the samples?

It's pretty much like Recycle. Check out the "sticky" topic that Sparq posted with the videos. The 1k does a hell of a job.

read up more in that link with the OS too. All the questions you have are all there. Trust me... you're gonna hate yourself if you trade the 1k for the MC-909!

For real, I wouldnt even trade my 1k for a TR-909... and I love the real 909!!!

No doubt. Roland fell off way back in the day. The only Groovebox that I own is the MC-09, which is a 303 clone that I bought 3 years ago and the last new Roland product I'll ever buy. I can't get nearly half the price I paid for it, so I'm not gonna bother selling it. I'll just use it for the Juno sounds once in a while. The MC-202 (the last of the real MC series) will take care of the acid lines much better.

PLUS -> i was reading on the net that the mc909 cannot do punch in record. like you need to stop the seq if you wanna record. i cannot really beleive this is true but you might want to check that...

distrotedtekno -> your mc202 looks in really good condition, nice!
about the mc303, it's fairly crap indeed! but i still like it because it is the machine i made my first patterns on. :P

buy thatt roland. get rid of the shity 1000 . 1000 is gargbage regardless of the update. you'll have some super dope small pads and a huge screen on that roland
