1k forum's got more posts than 2k now.

Well, thanks to the new OS the 1k forum's overtaken the 2k/XL in number of posts, proving the 1k is the machine most likely to sit unused while it's owner surfs the net.

well some pf us, like me an nym, are students, and well, its easier to check the forums out while were in class than it is to bust out our mpcs

agreed. i actually sit with my laptop reading the forums often in lectures.

i also bring my mpc to class and tell everyone it's a recording device (despite the lack of a microphone) and sit there making beats in the back claiming that i'm recording the class. too bad i was told to stop when kids around me heard the sound of snares through my headphones....

Not to lecture anyone, but if I could do it all again I would have studied harder when I was in education.

^ ^ i know that's the truth...as of now i'm an english major at george mason university with a minor in arts and visual tech. i hate both areas but i'm good at them. i'm a pretty decent writer, been writing and publishing short stories since i was 13. had a newspaper job as a columnist for 4 years or so, and eventually edited a section of my city paper. i'm also pretty damn good at photoshop.

however, my ultimate love is....music. it's some stupid, hopeless dream i've chased out of adolescence. however, it's led me to some interesting career options.

i plan to go to grad school at this place either in west virginia (sound design school) or in arizona (conservatory). meanwhile, i'm considering transfering to American University or NYU in order to study sound engineering. i already know so much that i've taught myself, but i want professional training...it could only help with my music, and hell it may just get me a job working with sound.

who knows? all i know right now is that i can't stand taking gen eds and writing 15 page single spaced papers on blaise pascal and his blind faith. at least we're finally into some nietzche - finally someone who isn't mad disillusioned.

you know I used to check the 2500 forum before the 1000 forum, but this update has made the 1000 more interesting than the 2500 to me. Akai just did something amazing.
