Possible to acquire bugs/viruses in mpc?

Hey Rohan thanks for the help bud..... i checked the format of those samples and drums and they are all 44.1 but they are all in mono mode. Anyway i am getting rid of them just to be safe and I am never downloading drums of of the net again. Unless I pay for them. I'll let you know what happens with my mpc and if it keeps acting up.....thanks again

Write down what causes your machine to crash in future with as much detail as possible.

Then ... we can all help out as best possible.

Two things by the looks of the SP ( stack pointer value ) and BP ( break point value )

What were you doing on the machine when it crashed out ?

The RAM looks to be corrupted.

Faulty RAM ( user installed SIMMS or factory SRAM/WRAM where the OS resides after boot )

Or bad access to a faulty storage drive during read or write operations can throw messages like this.

Make certain you are using the latest OS for your 2000 classic.

Get the version 1.72 from: http://www.akaipro.com/archive_os/2_mpc2kv172.zip ...

Make a fresh disk and try running from that.

Maybe check out the possiblity of faulty RAM in your machine.

Try a different storage device type.

Try converting files to be loaded into the MPC *.SND format prior to loading them ... IE: Stay clear of *.WAV files in your MPC2000 ( lots of reasons why ).

Most of the time this happens when I'm trying to record or when I press Undo sequence. I'll check the ram since I just installed two new simm cards about three weeks ago. I'll remove them and see if they are the issue. i'll also make that new disk for the OS. Thanks a lot for your help.
