no sound

i just bought my mpc 1000 of ebay, but the only sound im getting out of it is the click track, have i bought a broken mpc or am i overlooking somthing? please help i need to make phat beats

Can someone make a sticky about loading sounds into the mp.This is such a common topic.I don't know if cats don't really understand what the mp does or what but it's getting old now.

lol da mpc was my first peice FIRST at music and i already knew how to load samples/sounds w/e first thing i did was put the manual next to my mpc because i knew it was gonna be useful do it and the first thing u would when ur stuck is see the manual next to the mpc and n u will know ur solution
