hello everyone..just wanted to know if anyone could tell me how to use my mpc 2000xl and cool edit pro. I have some samples that I want to use and I heard it's a good program... any information or feedback would greatly be appreciated..God Bless, Beaglin

Can I ask you a question, that infact might answer your question.

How would you like to use the program, or lets ask what woud you like it to do for you? I am assuming that you know a bit of what the program does.

Hints:

    MIDI SNYC
    EDIT SND\WAV files
Record finished beats to Wav, MP3 etc.

Think about it...

thanks..My buddy takes mp3's and puts them in cool edit pro and makes loops...I'm trying to get the part I want of the sample and put my drums to it.

No, CEP / AA cannot read AKAI SND files.

pg 2 "Cool Edit Pro - Adobe Audition - MPC2kxl midi sync"

First link in my sig.

I was pretty sure Cool Edit couldn't read SND files...I just misunderstood Penfolds post

MIDI SNYC
EDIT SND\WAV files
Record finished beats to Wav, MP3 etc.

cep/aa reads sunjava snd's NOT akai snd's. 2 different formats.
Just laod an akai snd in there and see for yourself, cep/aa will not know what to do with it. Instead of talking and hearsay just try it :D .

Way back in 95, huh. That going back a wayz. The newer cep/aa won't do it I know that much. Back in the win 95 version of cep I couldn't tell you.

I use Awave 9x to read my Akai snd's and/or convert them.
