MPC1000 does not have MMC, only MIDI CLOCK, read the manual it will confirm this.

Set Sonar to send MIDI CLOCK signal.

you dont get it do u?

SONAR MIDI OUT (On the MIDI CLOCK SETTING) --->> MPC IN 1 or 2

ON THE MPC press MODE PAD 9 and SNYC (F2) Then Choose 1 or 2 Depending on which midi socket you plugged it into.

Volia! MIDI SNYC! with Sonar!!!

MPC is default midi clock! cant change it! only on sonar and other soft sequencers.

ok i got the 1k synced with sonar (once or twice lol) but when i do its like the sample loaded into the mpc play only the start point repatily and if i start hitting pads it will play but its hard to explain kinda souns like its looping the first second of the sample and when it happens my midi in and out light stay locked but when the sound doesnt play the light are off i think its like one setting that isnt correct im at work at the moment so i cant full explain what i have setup but when i get home ill definitely put a post up on exactly how it is setup because it sounds like data overload when i try to play samples synced with sonar very hurtful to the ears

mpc1000 is your slave, sonar is the master make sure you add a blank space (bar) to mp , and 5 to 7 seconds to sonar. So the mp can catch up
and sync. it won't hurt the songs or track.

ok

so u saying add that to the begenning as lead in ic but the mpc still waks out when i have the track set to midi i think that is the problem im changing the track on the mp to midi and hitting a pad for a sample im going to my studio later tonight so ill see whats going on then

should not have to do that!!

check your latency.

for the exact command in sonar, i'm not sure (read that manual) but for setting up the mpc, watch my video... it's titled track and sync. it explains what must be done to the mpc to set it up to track. (and i didn't add a bar in the beginning of my track and i didn't add any seconds in my DAW.) watch the video.
