problems with midi syncing to logic 5.5

Hi,

I'm having problems getting an mpc2000 synced with logic 5.5, the midi out of the pc is going to the midi in on the mpc and i want to use logic as the master, logic has been set up under syncronisation settings to transmit MMC, transmit midi clock etc but the mpc wont play or even acknowledge anything from its ins... the mpc is set to reicieve MMC and the mode is midi time code, frame rate 30... if anyone has had this happen can you please help?

Lemme get this straight: You've set Logic to transmit Midi-clock, and the MPC to recieve Midi Time Code?
Those two are not the same, and it will never work like that. Set Logic to send MTC at 30 fps as well, and you should be ok..

You also can have logic send ONLY midi clock and have the MPC ONLY receive midi clock.....also make sure the MPC is receiving at the right MIDI port (ie. 1 or 2 )

Hi, I've tried various combinations of sending and recieving, checking the midi in channel is correct, but will double check that they are using the right protocols etc, thanks for yr replys, its beginning to congeal into existence now!!
