Just wondering if I could hook a M-Audio Oxygen 8 midi controller to my MPC. If so, then how? I want to generate some fat basslines. Please Holla Back

With midi cables.

Depending on which one will be the slave you go in to out and out to in.

If you dont have the XL - dont make the mistake to think you can play your samples with the the tune of the different keys on your oxygen. when you press one key it will just play the sound which is assigned to the pad you control via midi.

What this dude is referring to is the lack of an auto-chromatic function on the Classic 2000. But you can get the same result by creating your own program, with a copy of the sample on each pad, tuned accordingly.

...Its just not 'automatic' like on the XL.

Now I have a question...

With keyboards and mpcs, if all you are doing is triggering the sounds on the mpc and wanting the sequencer to record the midi data, you only need the one midi output on the keyboard, right? - Like bigbeats suggested. You don't need to be able to run from mpc midi out to keyboard midi in? (I'm guessing thats only if your keyboard has sounds you want to use with the mpc...?)

The main reason I ask is 'cause the Maudio 61ES only has one midi out and a usb port, the latter which is useless to me.
