why does it all of sudden take ages to load anything

this mpc is unpredictable. sometimes its super fast to load a song, program, watever, and then sometimes (like at the moment) it seems to take 10 mins to load the same song. wat could possibly be going wrong now. this is just confusing me. why would the same program and/or song take stupidly long on one occasion on really quick on another?

internal ram.

did you upgrade your ram by chance? maybe you got bogus ram, or maybe its your cf card.

or worst case, its a lemon mpc. have you noticed anything else wrong with it? how new is it?

is most likely your cf card or ram.

mpc is second hand. ram is kingston brand (256mb), bought new as well as the cf card (512) which is a viking brand. now and then the mpc does crash, not often, but it does happen. also last nite the mpc made a noise that made my house mates think that the house was going to blow up, im not joking it was really **** dodgy.

did you try using it without the extra ram installed for a little while?...

yea, that iould be my suggestion. take the ram out, and try loading something small, time it, do it a couple times, put it back in, load same thing, time it again, compare.

what ar eyou loading from? that may also contribute

try bringing everything back to stock, and see if this happens still
