zip drive installation

I just got my internal zip drive in the post this morning but need the 40 pin IDE connector cable and IDE power cable but cant find them anywhere.

Anybody in the UK know where i can get them from online or recommend some shops??

The IDE connector is the same ribbon cable that you use on your PC hard drive, go to any PC store and get the little cable.

If you don't have a ZIP KIT you will have to piece together adapters and MAKE a powerplug which is not hard at all. Know the differences of the colors on the plug before you do ANYTHING..

Ask for a "IDE POWER SPLITTER", tell the PC store that you need the power cable that will allow you to RUN two HARD DRIVES CDROMS etc. or if you want to do a "disk to disk" HD to HD copy (clone).

The cable should only cost about 3$. Very inexpensive.
