In which case no need for the new OS in your opinion then???

Im working on a few sample based beats for a friend of mine, was merely jesting that it would be nice for the OS to drop before I went away as it would enable me to zone the samples, T-Stretch etc, which is whats needed for these particular beats.

Guess I will just scrap my MPC / PC, Cubase etc and just go and get me a Mellotron (first ever sampler). Im sure my workflow wont decrease and my beats will sound as good if not better ;)

No! a even better idea, buy a couple of parrots and learn them how to beatbox and make bass sounds. then buy a old Amiga and plug it in to their brains and try to sequence the parrots with fast tracker

hehe, not sure about the parrots...but you got me thinking on that mellotron idea...a custom beat tape loop in that thing would sound so ill...you could have different layers all over the place and just drop them in real time...
