There could be a numerous amount of reasons why my drums aren't tiight. 1st theory is im trimming my sounds wrong. I noticed some people leave some space in front of their sample im guessing this is called the zero point area? Also I noticed that some snares may have some wav area in front of the actual sound thus causing your snare to not be tight. What's the 411 on trimming your samples after you have put into you MPC. 2nd theory is Doubling your tempo. A song that would normally be 80 double it to 160. 3rd theory the swing on certain songs, Doing your snare and kick on one track and putting a certain swing on them. 4th theory using the later and earlier functions to get them as close as you want them to sound, im guessing this would work better if your song was doubled in tempo like i wrote earlier. 5th theory turning the time signature up to the highest possible point for the type of song your doing. and the 6th theory with all those combined record your drums with 1/8 timing on. Can someone help me because i want my drums to be tight and on. I know it's something easy that i'm overlooking.
