The lowest you could get a used MPC3000 is for about 1,500 on e-bay. You might get lucky and find one for 1,200 (or lower). Keep in mind that allota n*ggas get played for their money on e-bay when they buy off new members with little feedback.
If I was you I would copp it of roguemusic.com for like 1700.They only sale high quality gear and they got warranty coverage. MPC 3000le go for like 3,000 + brand new in japan.
Also, the MPC 2000XL is more improved than the MPC 3000 and you could get that for like 850 wit 8 outs and build in zip off e-bay. Allotta industry cats prefer the MPC 3000 tho, ie: Bronx producers Heatmakerz, QB producer Havoc etc.

Since you are in the NY area, go to the newsstand and pick up a copy of the BUY AND SELL or LOOT newspapers... I saw a guy selling one for 750 once and had no money for it... damn... anyways if the price is actually below 1300 dollars most likely it's not in pristine condition and you wouldn't be so well off buying a machine that's all beat up cause it won't have much resale value and probably will die on you and cost you more money in the long run, spend the dough if you got it and get one minty fresh.
