QUickie!!

Ok QUick Question, I dont have the original manuel becuase i got the MPC for 400 dollors and no compact flash or anything. But on to my question...

Ok you know when you hit a pad and the smaple plays all the way through, is their the setting that when you hit the pad, how ever long you hold the pad down it plays?

Lets say i have a 2 second sample, and if i just want to play the first second i hold down the pad for the sample for one second.

Yea i know if i wanted to just play that one second of the sample i could trim it but i want to be able to use all the sample and play it for different amounts of time thorughout the recording...

OK if i lost you, its similar to the SP-202, where the setting is called GATE. I dunno what its called on the MPC.

Go to Mode > Program > Highlight the sample > press, Window > Select Not On.

Yo you can easily download the manual off of akai's website.

thanks sparq, i run linux and only for web browsing i dont use it for anything else. its a 200Mhz computer with 64 megs of RAM, so i got linux to browse the web and stuff and i cant run adobe acrobat.

no its a picture just taken of him reaching out, but the thang is that after developing the pictures that ray showed up in his hands, and when he was asked if he knew about it, he responded "its what i wanted" and smiled....

I do believe they make pdf file decoders for linux. I havent fooled with linux since redhat 5.

i was being a smart ass about the picture. My linux is a boot disk, i do not have a hard drive. I found the pieces literally in the trash behind comptuer stores and put it together in a metal tin box. Its just an exteral cd drive and mother bored and 64 megs of ram, no hardrive.
