nah nah- it's not that the pads are unresponsive, but they're actually quite the opposite of what you said of the 2000xl pads. If anything, the 2000xl pads are far more squishy and soft than my 60 pads. That's the reason I was complaining. My pads are stiff and seem dried out. Part of the reason was that the owner before me had extremely greasey hands, probably because he had a jerri curl (I purchased the mpc-60 from a dude in South East LA). Forat said to me, "hey, do you eat a lot of greasey fried foods while you're working on music?" and i responded, "of course not, i don't eat or drink around my equipment." Said Forat, "well somebody has some greasey ass finger tips, because your facepaint has been eaten away by the oils in the skin."
I donno man.....I just hope the pads fit properly. ...have you replaced yours? I'm using an Mpc-60II, and I heard that the phone jack gets in the way. Ahhh....back to work. The boss is coming....heheh
