umm - I use cubasis and it has real time controls

I feed it right in through my tascam audio interface

it is an audio interface

I plug my mpc into it

then it runs into the pc using usb

its real time direct recording

has rel time controls in the software i record in - cubasis

Oh.... Yeah, no. I also have software with realtime control. It doesn't control my MPC though. What are you talking about man?

just recording into the mpc

why do you need to control it from the computer

The point is to have total control without having to press open window. To perhaps have the abilty to change parameters on multple pads at the same time. Basically when there are programs like that, Unisyn and MESA, it's to make programming easier.

The MPC sound engine doesn't respond to external midi CCs, so you'd have to rewrite the mpc OS as well as a program.
