MPC 2000XL + Reason 2.5

i joined the forum to do some research about the mpc. i bought reason 2.5 a month ago and im pleased with the software. a friend of mine just got the mpc 4000 and is giving me a good deal on his mpc2kxl.

has anybody used Reason and MPC together? i know the mpc samples at 16 bit while reason is at 24 bit. What sort of problems can i run into with these two different sample qualites. Pros? Cons?

i know ppl use Recycle for loops and import them in the mpc. how hard would it be to bring mpc files into Reason?

Can an MPC be used as a MIDI controller for Reason?

Would i better to pass off my friend's offer?

You might try moving this to the `MPC Studio Environments` forum below. Most of us at the `MPC Technical` Forum only know about MPC specific stuff.

I would not hurt to search the archives (and read the convoluted instructions for searching).
