yeah, i'm tryin to decide weather or not i should go back today. i always worry that someone else will end up with whats supposed to be mine. i'm broke as hell and don't get paid for two weeks but i think i might go cop another $10 worth.

you just gotta find the right spot. hell, i usually score a crate or two of free records each month. being resourceful pays off.

exactly. shit like that but like you say, don't even offer any cash. it already cost money to drop a line in the paper and theres people out there that just "want them gone". free/cheap records are out there, in every city. you just gotta find em.

Garage sales are the best. The only thing is you gotta have ya poker face on at ALL TIMES!. Most of them herbz dont' even know what they're sitting on. Once you d*ggin through their sh*t and they see ya eyes open or gasp for air....they got ya!!!! I was diggin and i found a "Best of Tommy Roe" album in mint condition. I got so damn excited I couldn't hold it in. The owner was like "wait a minute". Took the album, went to his wife, came back and said $20. Before it was a $1 but he "claimed" it had sentimental value. Yeah f*ckin right. Copped it anyway and learned for the future to act like every record I see is a piece of invaluable turtle sh*t.

i don't seem to have much luck at yard sales. i found a bunch in the paper this past summer, checked out 15 or 20 and not one of em had any records. thrift shops are at the top of my list, especially this time of year when they are trying to make room for xmas stuff they usually have big clearence sales. i'm actually gonna start going to the estate sales where the county of whatever auctions off all a dead persons belongings. thats where most antique shops i visit get their records from and if homme can afford to sell them to me for $0.10 each then i wonder what he pays for them. probably not jack sh*t.

i bought like 10 crates plus loose records(45 peices)plus juke box records and a couple old carnegie hall records from this old wwII vet for 35 str8 i bought like 200 with me i was about to offer 200 but something told me to keep my mouth shut and let the man talk he said"make your best offer" i said you tell me i was waiting for him to say 200 but this guy surprise me for real for real i left out there happy because i got more than i bargained for plus more you guys have to check out mad garage sales in the papers and shit i know a guy in manhattan that has records rare shit some shit that he isnt selling he would allow you to bring your laptop minidisc or some sort of small portable recording device to take the transfer i mean this guy collection is huge real F)&*($ huge also i recommend a couple of spots in manhattan that have old records for cheap and also they locate old shit for you too if you're in nyc i recommend the newsday daily news am and metro newspaper(metro and am are free):)you just gotta look hard or you can dig deep like the beatminerz and travel across the world with your flight cases and buy(lol) whatever u want to do just do it right and keep true hip hop alive
