they won't have it until akai gets it. and akai didn't get it yet. so as soon as akai gets them in, those who already pre ordered, theirs will go out immediately. so we will get ours b4 VST.

i just got that 1000 ( had 2000xl but the board blew out) and i was thinking about trading it in for the 2500 but then i read your post and now i'm good except for one thing. how come the 1000 dont chop samples up like the 200xl or the 2500? do i have to chop up a sampled loop using recycle first? or do i need to upgrade to the lastest os available? i been reading the forums and it seems like you would definitly kn if i'm doing something wrong?

ok, here's the thing..... currently the latest and greatest OS for the 1000 is v1.07, which does not have the chopping ability like the XL. however, the OS that's coming out next will have that ability and much more.

so until 2.0 comes out, yes, you will have to chop up a sampled loop using recycle or any other program that manipulates wav files. you can also chop within the 1000 (manually) and manually assign to pads.
