i say school life but i don't mean drop out or don't apply yourself. just realize that you have something you love more. schooling will provide you with the fire you need to make music sometimes.

sacrifice is the biggest part. if you don't spend upwards of 90% of your free time making beats, reading about music, listening to music as a producer, etc etc etc you are not serious.

While putting in time is necessary...and you shouldn't be doing it if you don't love it... you are exagerating IMHO. Life experience outside of music influence music as well. Especially if you write lyrics.

one thing i noticed is that when Im working on a cd for somebody and Im realy into my music I sometimes forget to eat and I lose wieght. I also have trouble sleeping cause I always think where im gonna find the next drum sounds. Girls often get mad at me cause i dont have time to talk on the phone since im always on the mpc, or this sight learning. I dont realy go outside that often either unless im going digging or I got my portable karoke machine and Im out sampling noises
