Is it possible to chain 5 keyboard to the MPC-2000XL.

yes. several midi devices can be daisy chained on XL. look through the manual to see exactly how many and how to do it. check the link below for manuals link.

if you are using pretty modern gear, quality midi cables and short runs, there is no reason why you cant chain over 5 devices on just one input !

i mention "modern gear" as the clock chips have improved over the decades since MIDI was devised (though midi itself hasnt much) and the old warnings of "you cant rely on more then 3 devices" are fading into obscurity.

all depends on your rig though.
